Linares, Murphy, Chambliss, Washington and Ramirez all had multi-hit days for the victors.

Alexander (3-6) vs Niekro (4-7)

Every Giant partook in the 14 hit barrage with both Darrell Evans and Milt May posting 3 hits apiece. May and Johnny LeMaster each notched 2 RBI's. Doyle Alexander had himself a shutout until the bottom of the 9th when he gave up a solo run before leaving the game with 1 out to go. Greg Minton got the final out to put away the Braves.
